Menurut laporan the State of Global Islamic Economy Report 2022 yang baru saja dikeluarkan Dinar Standard di Dubai, sekto Halal Food Indonesia naik dua tingkat ke peringkat ke-2 dari tahun sebelumnya berada di peringkat ke-4. Saat ini Indonesia terus berbenah diri untuk menjadi Pusat Produsen Halal Dunia sebagaimana yang sudah dicanangkan oleh Presiden Jokowi dan Wakil Presiden KH Ma’ruf Amin.
Direktur Infrastruktur Ekonomi Syariah Komite Nasional Ekonomi Keuangan Syariah (KNEKS) Sutan Emir Hidayat mengatakan bahwa KNEKS sebagaimana amanah yang diberikan untuk mengawal komitmen ini, khususya Direktorat Industri Produk Halal KNEKS tengah berfokus membangun ekosistem industri halal Indonesia yang kuat melalui berbagai program prioritas, sekaligus mendukung upaya pemulihan ekonomi nasional pasca pandemi secara inklusif, untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar produk halal dalam dan luar negeri yang jumlhnya terus menlngkat.
“Beberapa program prioritas telah dicanangkan antara lain, kodifikasi data sertifikasi halal pada transaksi perdagangan. Program ini bertujuan untuk mencatat transaksi berikut data sertifikasi halal atas kegiatan ekspor dan impor produk halal yang terjadi pada system Bea Cukai dan lembaga Indonesia National Single Window (INSW) berdasarkan informasi yang valid dari database Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH),” kata Emir, kepada wartawan, belum lama ini, di Jakarta.
Emir menambahkan, diharapkan Indonesia akan dapat memiliki data statistik perdagangan produk halal yang akurat untuk mendukung pengembangan sektor industri halal ke depannya. Program ini juga memberikan manfaat penguatan sistem ketertelusuran halal dalam perdagangan dalam dan luar negeri, melalui kesiapan untuk pertukaran data sertifikasi halal secara elektronik dan aman antar negara di dunia.
Selanjutnya Emir mengatakan, Indonesia memulai inisiatif global ini untuk memperkuat integritas halal dalam perdagangan dunia. Diharapkan hal ini segera akan disambut oleh negara-negara pelaku industri halal lainnya, khususnya pasar produk halal dunia seperti negara-negara OKI, Timur Tengah dan Asia. Selanjutnya, untuk mendukung produktivitas industri produk halal melalui kegiatan industrialisasi dalam menghasilkan produk halal Indonesia bernilai tambah, KNEKS juga terus mendorong pengembangan Kawasan Industri Halal (KIH) di Indonesia.
“Saat ini Indonesia memiliki tiga KIH dan ke dapannya KNEKS Bersama Kementerian Perindustrian dan sejumlah pelaku industri terkait, menyusun berbagai inisiatif penguatan KIH dalam rangka mendorong hadirnya infrastruktur industri halal yang unggul,” jelas Emir.
Dalam mengembangkan ekosistem industri halal di Indonesia, KNEKS berupaya untuk mensinergikan seluruh inisiatif tersebut ke dalam Masterplan Industri Halal Indonesia (MPIHI) 2022-2029 yang sedang disusun dan direncanakan dapat diterbitkan pada tahun ini. Dalam implementasinya nanti, masterplan industry halal ini menjadi salah satu bahan masukkan utama dalam pembuatan Rencana Kerja Pemerintah (RKP) 2023 dan seterusnya serta Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Nasional (RPJMN) 2025-2029, dan juga Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Panjang Nasional (RPJPN) 2025-2045.
